Suspects

Suspects brings you into a world of detective puzzles. Examine clues and connect evidence to identify criminals among 20 characters through logic.

About Suspects

Twenty characters, a pile of clues, and criminals hiding in plain sight. In Suspects, you don't need a magnifying glass to crack the case. Just trust the logic, follow the clues, and try not to accuse the wrong person!

How to Play Suspects

Every puzzle features 20 characters arranged in a grid of four columns and five rows. Some are innocent, while others are criminals. Your job is to identify them all using the clues revealed throughout the game.

  • Start with the first clue. Use the information available to identify anyone whose identity is certain. Each correct choice reveals another clue, helping you work through the case.
  • Watch the neighbours. Neighbours include diagonal cells, too. A corner character has three neighbours, while one in the middle can have up to eight.
  • Read positions carefully. Above and below refer to the same column; left and right refer to the same row. These characters don't have to be directly next to each other.
  • Follow connected cells. A connected group forms an unbroken horizontal or vertical chain. One empty cell can change how you interpret the whole clue.

Think Like A Detective, Not A Gambler

Guessing might solve a mystery in a movie, but it's a risky strategy here. Try these tricks instead

  • Count before accusing. If a row must contain two criminals and you've already identified one, you only need to find one more. Check the remaining clues before making your move.
  • Connect the dots. One clue might seem useless until another fills in the missing piece. Compare statements about the same row, column, or group of neighbours.

Don't force an answer. If you can't prove someone's identity yet, move on. Another discovery may reveal what you missed.

The golden rule? A theory isn't proof. Make sure your conclusion fits all the relevant clues before clicking.
