Lookdle

The list of Wordle forks keeps growing, and the newest member is Lookdle. Pixelated images serve as clues in a guessing game. You get five guesses to correctly identify the celebrity. If you make a wrong guess, the image becomes less pixelated and you have a better chance of making the next one. Unlike its more well-known offshoots, this one focuses on guessing pictures rather than words. The title can be determined by entering the individual's name.

How to play

The goal of Lookdle is to get you to correctly identify the name of a well-known person. The person in question could be famous in the realms of film (Heardle), music (Moviedle), geography (Worldle), and more. Each participant will have five guesses to name the famous person hiding among them. However, there is a catch: the picture quality is poor. Unlike Wordle, the tiles don't have any subtle shades of green, yellow, or gray.

If you enter your best guesses into the "Who is it?" field, the system will offer up the complete names of the celebrities as possible solutions. For each incorrect guess you make, the image will become slightly less pixelated, until you have the full picture. If you look closely at the blurry picture of the unknown celebrity, you might be able to identify him or her. Every time you try, you get a clearer picture. One way or another, you'll either solve the mystery or fall short.

You can play games like Heardle and Moviedle, in which you attempt to correctly predict the actions of well-known actors and actresses.
