Hello Wordl

Hello Wordl is an imitation of Josh Wardle's immensely popular Wordle. You get to decide how many letters are in the secret word in this game. Just like Wordle, you only have 6 tries to correctly guess a mystery word. In homage to the classic game, we've decided to set the default to "5" on the bar. You can use the slider to select between 4 and 11 letters, though.

How to play

In order to play Hello Wordl, all you need is access to the internet. Select "Today's" from the menu at the top left of the screen to play Hello Wordl in the current day's mode. Optionally, you can limit the game's mystery word length to a certain number of characters. The range of the slider is from 4 characters up to 11 characters.

After deciding on a game setting and character restriction, you may begin entering words using either your computer's keyboard or the on-screen keyboard. Initiate play by keying in any old word. Choose it carefully; you don't want to choose a password that requires a letter that's rarely used, like a Q, X, Z, etc. After that, your choices will be used to alter the hue of adjacent tiles.

A green tile indicates that the correct letter is in the correct position in the word, a yellow tile indicates that the correct letter is in the incorrect position, and a gray tile indicates that the letter is absent from the word. If you keep making educated guesses based on the colors of the tiles, you'll eventually figure out what the secret word is.

 Two modes playing

There are two modes available in Hello Wordl: Hello Wordl Today's and Hello Wordl Random. The initial mode is identical to Wordle in that everyone in the world is trying to guess the same word, but you can still limit entries to a certain number of characters.

Play the game as many times as you wish in the second mode, which is similar to Wordle Unlimited. Repeatedly guessing a surprise word, then starting over, is all that's required. The only rule is that you have exactly six guesses.
